Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

A sampling of some of the books your child can receive through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program

Increasing children's language and early literacy skills is essential to achieving United Way's national educational goals. Today, local United Ways across the United States partner with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program to increase access to high quality, age appropriate books to young children. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library program provides one book per month for every registered child from birth to age five as a FREE GIFT.

Currently, 803 local children are receiving these books through Orrville Area United Way. OAUW started the Imagination Library program in 2009, in partnership with the Dollywood Foundation and the Orrville Rotary Club. Since then, OAUW has distributed 66,653 books to children in Orrville, Dalton, Marshallville, Kidron, Sterling, Apple Creek, and North Lawrence.
