Orrville Area United Way is proud to partner with Dalton CARE Team! Your Orrville Area United Way grant to Dalton CARE Team supports the position of a Family Support Specialist (FSS) at Dalton Local Schools. The FSS is the connection point for staff, students, families, and the community to work together to help remove non-academic barriers so that all students can succeed. Dalton CARE Team serves over 120 students at Dalton Local Schools in an individualized approach that identifies a student’s needs and connects them and their families to supports that will help them be successful in the classroom and beyond. Dalton CARE Team partners with students and families in the areas of clothing, community resource referral, food, hygiene, household items, mentorship for students and families, school supplies, shelter assistance and transportation barriers.
