Orrville Area United Way and the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce are thrilled to announce the return of the much-anticipated Day of Caring, scheduled for May 1, 2024. This annual event is dedicated to fostering volunteerism and community improvement across Orrville, Dalton, and Marshallville. Day of Caring serves as a platform for businesses, individuals, and small groups to come together and engage in meaningful volunteer work, utilizing their skills and talents to enhance the lives of others.
Building on the success of the previous year, organizers are gearing up for an even more impactful event in 2024. In 2023, Day of Caring saw over 150 volunteers unite to complete 22 projects at 12 locations, with the participation of 15 local companies. This year, organizers are aiming to surpass these figures, both in terms of volunteer participation and the number of projects undertaken.
Day of Caring is currently accepting applications for Day of Caring projects. Non-profits as well as private individuals are encouraged to apply. Project applications will be accepted through March 15.
Volunteer registration opens on February 16 and runs through April 15. Individuals and teams interested in participating are encouraged to sign up early.
