Orrville Area United Way is proud to partner with Viola Startzman Clinic. Your Orrville Area United Way grant to Viola Startzman Clinic supports healthcare for the underserved, contributing to our impact area of Promoting Health & Wellness. Last year, in our service area, approximately 1500 uninsured and underinsured individuals received free or discounted comprehensive primary care and dental care services with a 78% decrease in ER visits among these individuals because of care.
The mission of Viola Startzman Clinic is to “provide healthcare and hope to residents of Wayne & Holmes Counties and surrounding communities, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.” The only organization in Wayne County offering free/discounted primary and dental care services to the uninsured and underinsured, Viola Startzman Clinic is committed to comprehensive care, which often means a patient sees a medical provider, a dentist, a counselor, and a case manager in the same visit. Viola Startzman Clinic is a 19-member licensed clinical and support staff team along with a 400+ member volunteer team.
