Orrville Area United Way is proud to partner with Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club. Orrville Area United Way provides grants that support three programs at OABGC – KidStop, Physical Education & Leagues, and the Teen Center. These programs contribute to OAUW’s impact area of Nurturing Children and Youth.

The mission of OABGC is “to support, enable, and develop youth and teens to reach their full potential”. Their three focus areas include trauma-informed care, academic success, and workforce readiness. OABGC provides a safe and fun place for kids to grow and thrive, a variety of engaging programs focused on academics, health, and leadership, and caring staff who guide, coach, and motivate.

Approximately 220 kids walk through the OABGC doors each day, 600+ participate in OABGC sports & league programming each year, 40 teens regularly attend the teen center, and over 150 teens take part in special events. 98% of students who attend OABGC report feeling emotionally safe at OABGC, 82% report strong staff connections, and 90% say “the Club is fun” OABGC has been an integral part of our community for over fifty years, and they continue to evaluate, adjust, and invest as needed to best support our youth to reach their full potential.

We are proud to support Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club with your generous OAUW dollars!
