Orrville Area United Way is excited to announce the recipients of the 2025 grant awards, following approval by the Board of Directors in January. This year’s campaign raised nearly $740,000, exceeding the original goal of $725,000. The generous support from our local community reflects the true spirit of this year’s campaign theme: "CommUnity – YOU Make a Difference."
This year’s campaign saw impressive participation, with 2/3 of employee campaigns showing an increase in giving, alongside new and growing contributions from our community members. This generosity is a testament to the strong sense of community that drives Orrville Area United Way. The funds raised will support our four impact areas: Nurturing Children & Youth, Helping in Hard Times, Developing Life Skills, and Promoting Health & Wellness.
In addition to grant allocations, $65,000 has been budgeted to support Orrville Area United Way’s seven Percy Programs. These programs address immediate needs within the community, including Weekend Backpack, which provides food for children in Dalton and Orrville schools over the weekend, and Sweet Dreams, which supplies beds for children in need. Many Percy Programs have experienced significant growth in both cost and reach due to increasing demand for their services.
These efforts would not be possible without the unwavering support and trust of our community. The Citizen Review Committee, a dedicated group of local volunteers, plays an essential role in ensuring that the funds are allocated responsibly and effectively, reviewing and recommending grants based on community needs and program impact.

• Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club – KidStop & Teen Center: $115,000
