Percy Programs Support Local Families

Orrville Area United Way, in partnership with The Salvation Army Orrville-Maiwurm Service Center, is raising awareness about two important Percy Programs: Happy Feet and Sweet Dreams. These ongoing initiatives aim to support children and families in our community by providing much-needed resources and services.

Happy Feet: New Shoes and Socks for Kids

The Happy Feet program ensures that children have access to proper footwear. Qualifying families receive two vouchers per child each year, redeemable at Shoe Dept. stores, to provide new shoes for their children. This program promotes physical health and boosts the confidence of our young community members.

Sweet Dreams: Complete Beds for Children

The Sweet Dreams program provides children and youth with a complete bed set, including a bed frame, mattress, sheets, blankets, and pillow. This program aims to provide a safe and comfortable sleeping environment for children 2 to 18 years old.

Eligibility and Service Areas

Both programs are available to children residing in Dalton, Kidron, Marshallville, North Lawrence, and Orrville. Families with incomes up to 250% of the federal poverty level are eligible for these programs. Happy Feet and Sweet Dreams are funded by Orrville Area United Way and administered in partnership with The Salvation Army Orrville-Maiwurm Service Center. Please contact The Salvation Army Orrville at (330) 683-3138 for more information on eligibility and the application process. All eligible families are encouraged to take advantage of these valuable resources.
