Executive Director of Orrville Area United Way (Wayne County, Ohio)
The Executive Board of the Orrville Area United Way, Wayne County (OH) seeks a dynamic executive director to lead the agency's fundraising efforts and oversee and participate in the organization's day-to-day functions.
The New Executive Director will be a leader who is:
• An effective fundraiser
• A dynamic leader who can expand United Way resources
• A skillful manager of a small staff who is organized, efficient and capable of measuring impact
• A collaborative leader who builds strong relationships within the community
• A self-starter dedicated to the mission and vision of the Orrville Area United Way
• A communicator who can tell the organization's story in person and across digital platforms
• A resident of Wayne County or a contiguous county (or willing to relocate within a reasonable amount of time after accepting the position)
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
• Significant experience (5+ years) in paid leadership and management of organizations of comparable size. Alternatively, substantial experience, with progressive leadership practice, working in the nonprofit sector, and interacting with volunteers and boards
• Experience in developing partnerships, building teams, and conflict management/resolution
• Experience in developing and maintaining sound financial practices, including but not limited to budget development and expense tracking
• Experience in building revenue and increasing philanthropic support including grant writing
Desired qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree
• Experience with United Way
• Experience in or across multiple sectors, including nonprofit, public, and corporate environments
• Experience with strategic planning and planned giving
Starting salary is $50,000 - $70,000 negotiable based on experience and qualifications. A benefits package is included.
